Regular meetings at the Historical Society in Riverhead have returned.
Join us as we learn new techniques. And as always, bring your finished products for show and tell!
Summer Learning/Favorite Tools
Did you go the MAFA? Take a class or workshop? Share what you've learned at our September meeting. And if you have a favorite tool you can't weave without bring it in to show the group
Weaver's Mini Retreat
We are trying something new this year. Bring in a project - small looms, warping board, finishing....anything! Work along with other weavers; share ideas, stories and advice.
The Paumanok Weavers Guild meets monthly at the Suffolk County Historical Museum in Riverhead, NY. Meetings are usually held on the second Saturday of the month unless otherwise noted. Exact dates can be found on the left.
Most meetings begin at 10 am with social time. Coffee and tea are available, along with some sweet treats brought by our members.
At 10:30, there is a brief business meeting. Announcements about weaving events, textiles, etc. may be made by anyone attending. If anyone wishes to ask a weaving question or get advice this is the appropriate forum. We also have a “show and tell”
This is followed by the featured speaker or program. Afterwards you are free to stay and talk to other weavers, ask questions of the presenter and examine some of the presentation materials if any.
Bring lunch and stay to meet other weavers!
Our Guild library is open, and our books, magazines, videos and sample books are available for members to borrow.
